The Senate of Kazakhstan has passed the Law on Ratification of Eurasian Economic Union [EaEU] Treaty, reported Kazinform news agency of Kazakhstan.  

“This document is of great importance for Kazakhstan, since it establishes the foundations of the foreign economic policy,” Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dossayev stated in introducing the bill.  

In his words, the Eurasian integration potential is quite high, and the aggregate volume of the economies of the EaEU member countries is over $2.2 trillion.

Dossayev also stressed that the focus of the treaty is solely economic cooperation issues.  

To note, on October 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin had signed the law ratifying the treaty on Eurasian Economic Union.
