YEREVAN. – Turkey and the ISIS have common interests, among them oil, fight against Kurds and Syrian president Bashar Assad, Armenian analyst said.

Although Turkey and ISIS suggest they are opponents, they are working on certain internal issues.

“ISIS is ruling on the territories with major oil resources that ensure high income. They are selling oil to Turkey and exporting oil via territory of Turkey. The Kurds are also a common target for Turkey and ISIS,” Gevorg Petrosyan told reporters on Saturday.

As to common fight against Syrian president, the analyst stressed that ISIS always treated him as an enemy, while Turkish side is constantly trying to direct the US-led coalition against Assad.
