YEREVAN. – Holocaust Foundation in Moscow will hold exhibitions, seminars, and lectures devoted to the Armenian Genocide.

Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Deputy Director Suren Manukyan stated the aforementioned at Saturday’s presentation—in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan—of the book entitled, The history of the Holocaust in the USSR.

Manukyan added that the museum-institute is also hosting a seminar and a roundtable discussion on the teaching—in schools—of the Armenian Genocide and the Jewish Holocaust.

“These two tragedies are closely correlated. We have always said that the Holocaust could have been avoided to some extent if, at the time, the world had recognized and denounced the Armenian Genocide.

“The Holocaust is a recognized and debated topic on the academic level. From this point of view, by comparing it with the Armenian Genocide, we bring the genocide topic to the scholarly domain with a more solid foundation,” Suren Manukyan stated.
