A 150-member special Peshmerga military detachment from Iraqi Kurdistan on Tuesday will head for Turkey, where it will enter Kobani, the Syrian city on the Turkish border and which is the capital city of the Kurdish autonomy.

The Peshmergas will fly from Erbil, Iraq, to Turkey, where they will arm themselves with heavy military equipment brought by land, and enter Kobani to fight against the Islamic State terrorist faction, reported Milliyet daily of Turkey.

Starting from September 16, the Islamists launched a large-scale attack against Kobani.

Under pressure from the West, Turkey was forced to permit the Iraqi Kurdistan Peshmerga militants to enter Kobani via its territory, since there is no other land route to reach this city.
