YEREVAN. – The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) has sold USD 6 million on Thursday at an average exchange rate of AMD 464.07/$1.
The marginal exchange rate, on the other hand, totaled AMD 463.5.16/$1, CBA press service reported.
As reported earlier, CBA chairman Artur Javadyan said they are launching currency auctions for stabilization. During the first week, $6 million will be sold to banks every day which will decrease to zero.
The Armenian dram depreciated by over 10 percent since November 24.
