YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan issued a message of condolences on the death of six-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan, the sole member of the Avetisyan family to survive the terrible tragedy in Gyumri.

“We failed to save little Seryozha's life. Despite the efforts of experienced Armenian and Russian physicians, we lost him,” President said in a message.

President Sargsyan said “the light failed” with the death of the boy.

“Alas, this did not work, despite all possible and impossible efforts, this failed,” he said.

The Armenian leader offered condolences to the family of the Avetisyans, all natives of Gyumri and the entire nation.
