Overall 21,198 births were registered in Armenia as of Jan.-June 2010 which exceeds the last year’s indicator.

According to the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency at the Armenian Justice Ministry, 20,124 children were born in Armenia as of Jan.-June, 2009.

The number of marriages has reduced as compared with the last year, whereas the number of divorces – increased. Overall 8,730 marriages were registered in H1 2010 against 8,866 in the same period last year, whereas the number of divorces reached 1552 against 1501 in 2009.

The number of deaths reached 14,447 in Jan.-June 2010 against 14,465 in the same period last year.
