YEREVAN. – The European Investment Bank (EIB) portfolio of projects in Armenia has reached €212 million, EIB Vice-President Wilhelm Molterer told reporters on Monday.

As per Molterer, the bank has increased its presence in Armenia especially in the past three years.

“We see a huge unfulfilled potential, which can be used together with other financial institutions,” the EIB official stated.

He noted that energy storage and distribution, energy efficiency, and infrastructure projects are among the EIB priorities in Armenia.

“And last but not least is assistance to small and medium-sized businesses,” Molterer stressed. “We stand ready to increase the EIB assistance especially in agriculture and tourism sectors.
