The President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, has put a one-week extension on the signing of the updated list of ministers, which Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had submitted.

The president plans to enable the government to finalize this list under calm conditions, reported News Georgia news agency.

Margvelashvili, speaking on television, stated that the government worked under force majeure, and he had made this decision for the recovery of the political process, reported Gruzia (Georgia) Online (apsny) news agency of Georgia.

Garibashvili on Friday submitted the makeup of the new Georgian government, and with three new ministers.

The matter of presenting a vote of confidence to Garibashvili’s Cabinet had come up on Wednesday, when the seventh member of the Georgian government, the Minister of Sport & Youth Affairs, had resigned from office.
