STEPANAKERT. – Parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic were held in accordance with the international norms, observer from Bulgaria Pavel Chernov told reporters on Monday.

He said transparency, freedom of choice were ensured during the elections.

“The elections proved that the country is developing according to democratic requirements, NKR is a democratic country in the Caucasus,” Chernov said.

The observer said no violations were registered during the election process, the only thing is that some polling stations were situated on the second floor that made it difficult for the elderly voters and people with disabilities.

“If they solve this problem, everything would be ideal,” he emphasized.
