The 24th annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that is held in Tbilisi on May 14-15 brought together over 2,000 representatives from 60 countries, Ameriabank said in a statement.

This year's meeting is held with the support of the leading regional agencies and global partners, among the National Bank of Georgia (flagship forum partner), UniCredit (major forum partner), Raiffeisen Bank International (major forum partner), Akfen Holding (special event partner) and Ameriabank (forum partner, the first Armenian bank – partner of the event).

Ameriabank Corporate Banking Director Gagik Sahakyan said: “Ameriabank highly appreciates the long-standing cooperation with the EBRD that resulted in creating financial opportunities for a number of companies from various sectors of Armenia's economy, including SMEs. As a result, a number of important projects were carried out for economic development of the country, in particular targeted at development of energy, telecommunications, trade, industry, agriculture and other sectors, as well as creation of new jobs.”

Since September 30, 2010, when cooperation with EBRD was launched, Ameriabank has concluded deals estimated at $75 million within Trade Facilitation Project (TFP).
