STEPANAKERT. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) delegation, led by  President Bako Sahakyan, on Sunday arrived in France on a working visit.

Sahakyan on Monday visited the Drôme Department in Southeastern France and in its capital city Valence, and met with members of the Regional Council headed by chairman of the council, Patrick Labaune.

The avenues for deepening relations between Drôme and the NKR were discussed at the talks.

In addition, cooperation agreements between Drôme and Artsakh, and Valence and NKR capital city Stepanakert were signed during the meeting.

Separately, the NKR President was granted with the title of Drôme Department Honorary Citizen and presented with the respective certificate.

President Sahakyan noted the importance of cooperation with Drôme and its center, and expressed confidence that this collaboration will give new impetus to bilateral relations and have a tangible contribution to further strengthen these relations, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.
