YEREVAN. - The EU can continue talks on visa-free regime in Armenia, Armenian Deputy FM Garen Nazarian stated at the Parliament Wednesday.

“Development of mobility remains one of the priorities of Armenia,” Nazarian said.

In January 2013, Armenia cancelled on a unilateral basis the visa regime for entry of citizens of the EU and the Schengen Agreement countries. And starting from January 1, 2014, an agreement between EU and Armenia on the facilitation of visa issuance came into force.

“I hope we will soon be able to start a dialogue on visa-free trips to the EU. The Joint Statement, adopted at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga, also mentions the possibility of similar developments in the future,” Nazarian said.
