YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received a report on Wednesday at 5:28am. 

Accordingly, a traffic accident had occurred on the Sarnakunk-Angeghakot motorway, there were injured, and rescuers were needed. 

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a truck, with driver A. G, and an automobile had collided on the Sisian-Yerevan highway for yet unknown reasons. 

Prior to the fire and rescue workers’ arrival at the scene, however, the car’s driver—V. Kh., born in 1980—and passenger—A. H., born in 1984—were transferred to the Sisian city hospital by local efforts. The doctors said V. Kh and A. H. are in satisfactory and critical condition, respectively.

The hospital later informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that one of the passengers had died.

We were informed that Arsen Hunanyan, 31, who was in a coma and had a skull fracture, was admitted to the hospital, but he had died thirty minutes later and without regaining consciousness. He was from Maralik town in the Shirak Province, and a military serviceman.

V. Khachatryan, on the other hand, is in stable condition, he was administered first aid at the Sisian hospital, and then he was transferred to the Sisian military hospital. He also serves in the military.
