The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, on Saturday paid a visit to the Tavush Province.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense, wrote about the aforementioned on his Facebook account.

“The Minister first visited the frontline, got familiarized with the work of improvement of the [Armenian military] positions, engineering equipment, [and] discussed combat-readiness and [several] other matters with the command,” Hovhannisyan wrote. “Seyran Ohanyan also visited the military units, [and] followed the construction work.

“The Minister also met with residents of border villages, gave the answers to questions concerning them, [and] discussed, with the [rural] community leaders, matters of [Armenia-Azerbaijan] border tension and assistance to [Armenia’s rural] communities.”

Ohanyan’s working visit will end on Sunday.
