A curfew is again declared in the Kurdish-populated Cizre town of Şırnak Province in Turkey.

At the provincial governor’s order, there is a curfew in Cizre since Sunday at 7pm, reported Milliyet daily of Istanbul.

Upon hearing this news, numerous locals rushed to stores, whereas some others took their children and left the town on foot.

A curfew was imposed for several days in Cizre, during which the police force fired at everything that was moving. As a result, according to local residents, the Turkish law enforcement killed around twenty people, most of whom being women and children.

The curfew in Cizre was lifted on September 12.
