YEREVAN. – The Eurasian Economic Commission has made gloomy predictions for Armenia’s economy, reported Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily.

“According to the forecasts publicized on the Commission website, Armenia will close this year with a mere 0.9-percent economic growth, whereas, to recall, the [Armenian] government is always speaking about a 4.1-percent growth.

“By the way, the EEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union] commission has presented gloomy forecasts not solely regarding Armenia, but the other EEU member countries [i.e. Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and most recently, Kyrgyzstan]. Accordingly, the EEU will close its first year of existence with a 2.4 percent economic decline,” wrote Chorrord Ishkhanutyun.
