YEREVAN. – It is known who will become the new proprietor of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“It became clear several months ago that Tashir Group founder, Moscow-based [Armenian] businessman Samvel Karapetyan, will purchase the ENA.

“[But] yesterday [i.e. Thursday], we learned that Samvel Karapetyan will not buy the ENA by himself, albeit he will be the owner of the main parts of the shares [of this company].

“According to the reliable information we have, ArmRusGazprom [natural gas company] former Director Karen Karapetyan, [opposition Prosperous Armenia Party former Chairman and oligarch MP] Gagik Tsarukyan, and former NA [i.e. Armenian National Assembly] MP Harutyun Pambukyan also will become ENA shareholders, [but] with different [amount of] parts of the shares.

“According to the same sources, the ENA sale transaction will be fully completed by February of next year,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
