YEREVAN. - Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan today received the delegation headed by the newly appointed World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller, as reported by Armenian Government press-service. The delegation also included World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Mercy Tembon, head of the World Bank Yerevan office Laura E. Bailey and other World Bank officials.  

Welcoming the guests, Abrahamyan congratulated them on their new offices and wished them fruitful work.

The PM stressed that the bilateral cooperation between Armenian and World Bank includes almost all the spheres, and Armenia’s Government is ready to the cooperation in both current programs and new perspective projects.

Cyril Muller called the cooperation of the World Bank with Armenia unique. According to him, the World Bank is continuing to support the key areas of Armenian economy and is ready to increase the amount of financial support in the future.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide scope of issue concerning Armenia-World Bank cooperation, as well as confirmed the bilateral readiness to apply new instruments and flexible approaches for overcoming the existing challenges and implementing systemic reforms in the sphere of economy.
