Armenia shouldn’t face a situation where it has to choose between Europe and Eurasian zone, the Economy Minister of Slovak Republic Vazil Hudak told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, it’s necessary to develop comprehensive zones of free trade. “In connection with the fact that Armenia is also a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), several difficulties emerge with regard to the possibility of its entering the zone of free trade with EU. But we - on behalf of Slovakia - are for the pragmatic approach: we say that countries like Armenia, which are members of EEU, shouldn’t face a situation where it has to choose between Europe and Eurasian zone,” Hudak said.

On October 12, FMs of EU member-states presented a mandate for talks with Armenia on concluding a new legal document. The beginning of talks is planned before the end of this year.
