YEREVAN. – Social and political environment in Armenia has changed for the better,FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent during the international forum of MGIMO graduates in Yerevan.

“I am always very happy to come here. We often come to Armenia and organize a lot of activities in Jermuk and Tsakhkadzor. I like that the country changes for the better every day. Today it is very positive aura. I remember 1996, when we were staying in Armenia hotel. My players came to me saying like “look, there are tanks outside”. It was a difficult situation then. Now everything is different. In this regard, I wish the people of Armenia prosperity and thank you for a good initiative to host forum of MGIMO graduates,” Ilyumzhinov said.

MGIMO graduates from all over the world, including foreign ministers, politicians, prominent economists and experts, business leaders and businessmen, have arrived in Yerevan for an international forum of MGIMO graduates that is being held on October 23-24.
