YEREVAN. – The clients in Armenia have already begun demanding international quality from their banks.

Information Technology (IT) specialist Armen Kocharyan stated the above-said at Friday’s roundtable discussion on the prospects for distance banking services in the country.

“The banks of Armenia must think globally,” Kocharyan continued. “Their clients may need services not only at home, but anywhere in the world. They want the same services with the same swiftness.”

Central Bank of Armenia Board member Vakhtang Abrahamyan, for his part, noted that in parallel with swiftness, the security of the means of communication and methods for recognizing the identification of a client also can be considered a key requirement.

“This is especially important to us,” Abrahamyan added.
