Award-giving ceremony of the authoritative The Banker magazine, premier Financial Times publication, was held in London Wednesday.  During the event, Armenia's Ameriabank was named The Best Bank of the Year 2015.

The title “The Best Bank of the Year” was awarded to Ameriabank on the basis of several standards, including the innovative “smart” solutions proposed by the bank, which significantly save the clients' time.  Apart from this, attention was attached to the fact that Ameriabank closely cooperates with such large international institutions as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Netherlands Development Finance Company, with which the bank has signed a Convertible Subordinated Debt Facility Agreement, an unprecedented deal in Armenia's banking history.

“Ameriabank has bolstered its leading position on a number of key financial indicators. Our key to success is its customer-oriented policy: quality of the services provided, professional staff, continuous innovations and balanced risk management. It is through these features that we have earned the confidence of our customers. Of special importance is the agreement signed with CR2 on introducing a new system of multi-functional distance banking services. This means that in 2016 new opportunities will be created for the full application of distance banking systems, which will in its turn contribute to the actual development of the culture of distance banking service in Armenia.” Artak Hanesyan, General Director of Ameriabank said.

During the event, Ameriabank was granted a certificate and an award - statuette of Brendan Bracken, the founder and editor of The Banker, and the chairman of Financial Times from 1945 to 1958.
