YEREVAN. - Following the short rally of the “New Armenia” Public Salvation Front struggling against the constitutional amendments in the country, a march to the building of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) kicked off.
Before the start of the march, opposition “Heritage” party leader Raffi Hovannisian stated that later they will return and take part in the rally of the “No” front, scheduled for 6:00 pm in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.
In his speech, Hovannisian noted that apart from the resignations of President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and PM Hovik Abrahamyan, from now on he will also demand the resignation of Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.
Besides Raffi Hovannisian, the march is attended by the “Heritage” party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan and radical opposition Founding Parliament member Jirayr Sefilian.
On 11 December at 3:00 pm, the “New Armenia” is calling a nationwide rally demanding the resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan.
