YEREVAN. - Armenian citizens shouldn’t give way to discouragement; it’s necessary to build institutional opposition, opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan said in the parliament today.

According to him, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has taken under its control the entire country, having gathered round it the administrative, financial and even criminal resources.  In his words, the organized minority is dictating its will to the unorganized majority.

“To establish the power of the majority, control over the legitimacy of elections is necessary. This requires 6,000 people, who will be able to defend the vote of each citizen in the polling stations during the nationwide elections. Then it’s necessary to create a political team which will be able to submit a clear and comprehensible program pointing out to the way out from the hard economic situation.

The “Civil Agreement” party addresses the Armenian citizens and Diaspora fellow-countrymen with the request to support the matter important to everyone and join it,” Pashinyan said.
