YEREVAN. – The well-known picture, which was taken in downtown capital city Yerevan of Armenia by photo journalist Vahram Baghdasaryan, has been included in the Pictures of the Year 2015 of Reuters news agency.
The photo was taken in the early morning on June 23, when Yerevan police used water cannons to clear Baghramyan Avenue from the demonstrators protesting against the increase in electricity prices in the country.
The picture depicts protester Karo Ghukasyan showing his two middle fingers at the police.
This photo had become the symbol of Electric Yerevan, the fight against the electricity price hike in Armenia.
