YEREVAN. - Armenia’s “Heritage” party welcomes the initiative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) to file a claim with the Constitutional Court, but will not join it. “Heritage” party leader Raffi Hovannisian stated the aforementioned at the informative rally in Yerevan’s Liberty Square today.

“If the statements of the ANC or any other force leave the impression that the “No” said by the people at the referendum belongs to some force which raised the colors of the present opposition, this is, to put it mildly, not so. I urge all our colleagues to abandon this kind of fragmentary thinking,” Hovannisian said.

“Head of the Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunyan is experiencing internal conflict concerning this issue. And he must at least exclude himself from this process,” Hovannisian said.

He also explained that the people who somehow dealt with the constitutional amendments, must stay away from these processes. “The “Heritage” party decided not to participate in this, since we have reached the bottom and our only direction is the diplomatic struggle, including the work with ambassadors,” Hovannisian said.
