YEREVAN. - The expected legislative changes stemming from the constitutional amendments were discussed at the session of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA). Vice-President of the Armenian Parliament and RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am after the session.

Referring to the initiative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) on appealing the referendum results at the Constitutional Court, the spokesman said that those results are not subject to debate.

Responding to the question on whether the ANC manages to gather the sufficient number of MPs’ signatures for filing a claim with the Constitutional Court, Sharmazanov said: “It’s their constitutional right. They still have time till 6:00 pm Friday. Let’s wait and see.”

According to him, if the ANC still manages to file a claim with the Constitutional court, Gagik Harutyunyan, head of the Commission on Constitutional Amendments, will make a just decision.
