STEPANAKERT. – In the early morning hours on Friday, the special forces of the Azerbaijani army launched yet another series of sabotage operations along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense (NKR MOD) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, however, detected this advance by the special units of the Azerbaijan army, went into defensive battles, and they pushed these Azerbaijani military forces back to their starting positions, also causing them casualties. 

But sadly, Defense Army military servicemen Aghasi Grigoryan (born in 1996), and Ruben Aleksanyan (born in 1996) bravely fell during these skirmishes.

In addition, Defense Army contract soldier Gor Ohanyan (born in 1992) was fatally wounded, on Thursday at around 9:30pm, under still unclear circumstances, at a protection area of a Defense Army military unit.

An investigation is underway to find out the details of this incident.

The NKR MOD stated that these provocative actions by Azerbaijan will not remain without consequences for the latter, and the response will be painful and full of irreparable losses for the adversary.
