YEREVAN. - Activists of the “New Armenia” Public Salvation Front struggling against the constitutional amendments are going to welcome the New Year in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, as stated by the organizers of the rally held in downtown Yerevan Friday evening

During the coming weekend, the leaders of the opposition “Heritage” party and radical opposition group “Founding Parliament,” which is the core of the “New Armenia” Front, will continue the meetings with their supporters, including in the cities of Gyumri and Vanadzor, where even the official referendum results turned out to be disastrous for the authorities.

Parallel with this, outdoor press-conference will be held on December 19-21 in the Liberty Square. The last rally this year, which is to be held on December 22, will sum up the first round of the movement, which couldn’t become massive.

The second round of civic meetings – that’s how the organizers now call their rallies – will kick off already on January 22. However, in the second half of January, meeting with social and political figures will take place in a conference hall in Yerevan.
