YEREVAN. – In 2015, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia began digitizing Armenian films, Deputy Minister Artur Poghosyan said, at a press conference on Friday.

In his words, sixteen Armenian movies have been completely digitized, so far.

“It’s very important to us to preserve this heritage,” Poghosyan stressed. “And we will continue the digitization in 2016.”

The deputy minister noted that the Armenian government is endeavoring to provide special conditions for film production in the country.

“We promote joint film production,” he added.

In Artur Poghosyan’s words, fifteen film projects were implemented in Armenia in the current year, and four others are still in progress.
