YEREVAN. – The lifting of the sanctions on Iran opens great opportunities for Armenia, but this does not mean that Armenia can unconditionally benefit from them.
Ambassador Ara Papyan, who is a political scientist and Director of the Modus Vivendi Center, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Monday.
In his words, both the Armenian businesses and government need to carry out an intensive work in this respect.
“As a result of the lifting of the sanctions on Iran, Armenia’s role will increase, since the most convenient road for Iran leading to the West is Armenia,” Papyan noted.
He added that a very favorable geopolitical situation is created for Armenia, and this situation needs to be taken advantage of.
