YEREVAN. - Armenian Armed Forces have two new generals.

According to the Article 55 (16) of the amendments to the Armenian Constitution, as well as Article 38 of the Law on Joining the Military Service, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan awarded the title of Major General to the Head of the Military Police of Armenia, Colonel Samvel Ghukasyan.

Upon another decree of the President, the title of Major General was awarded to the Head of the Combat Readiness Department at the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel Tiran Khachatryan.   

A number of other servicemen were awarded 1st and 2nd class medals for Military Service, Courage and Services to the Homeland.
