The French have recognized the Armenian Genocide, the Germans, too. Why not the Turks?

World-renowned French Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist, and diplomat Charles Aznavour (born Shahnour Vaghinag Aznavourian) stated the aforementioned to CNN.

“Nobody ever asked the Turks why they killed the Armenians. What was the reason? Religion? I don’t believe it?” Aznavour noted. “I read the Koran because I wanted to know if there was anything in it. Nothing was there. So the reason was not religion.”

To the query on what being Armenian means to him, Charles Aznavour responded: “I am Armenian. I’m not going to deny it. It’s terrible, when people hide something, fearing of not being welcome. You don’t like the Armenians? I leave. Goodbye!”
