YEREVAN. - There is no yet a threat of premature blossoming of fruit trees in Armenia.  

Roland Ghazaryan, Deputy Director of Scientific Center of Agriculture and Plant Protection NGO, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent, responding to the question on whether the warm weather in Armenia’s territory is fraught with negative consequences for the fruit trees.

According to Ghazaryan, the trees are still mainly dormant: their buds have not yet opened. At the same time, he noted that the lower the temperature in February is, the better, since the weather is always changeable in March.

The temperature in Yerevan and Ararat plain will rise to +15+18°C tomorrow. Higher temperature regime will be observed in Armenia’s Tavush and Syunik provinces. However, according to the weather forecast, the temperature will start falling Friday, and precipitations are expected on February 20 and 22.
