YEREVAN. - ArmEconomBank OJCS is conducting talks on joining two more banks.

The bank CEO Armen Naljyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

In 2015, ArmEconomBank already joined BTA with Kazakh capital. At the moment, two more banks are considering the possibility of joining.  Talks on this are currently being conducted.

The same year, shareholders made over 4 bln AMD investments in the bank.

According to the data of 2015, the entire bank capital made up about 13.5 bln AMD, whereas upon the demand of Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), the minimal threshold will constitute 30 bln ($61 mln) starting from 1 January 2017.

“In 2016, all this will impact our balance. Overall, it can be said that currently the bank has already solved the task of achieving a new threshold of general capital. This year we will carry out new stock subscription, among other things,” Naljyan said.

The main shareholders of ArmEconomBank OJCS are the Sukiasyan family: Saribek Sukiasyan (22.6 percent), Khachatur Sukiasyan (19.5 percent) and Robert Sukiasyan (15.3 percent). EBRD is a 20 percent shareholder.
