YEREVAN. – President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (RA NA), Galust Sahakyan, has gone abroad on a brief vacation, during which he will also undergo medical examination.

Head of the NA Media and Public Relations Department, Arsen Babayan, informed about the aforementioned on his Facebook account.

“At the same time, we inform that RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov is the Acting NA President,” Babayan also wrote.

Sahakyan was hospitalized on February 17, and due to high blood pressure. He underwent an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan and medication treatment at hospital.

He was discharged from hospital on February 21.
