YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia received information from the MES “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency, on Thursday at 1:13am Armenia Standard Time.
Accordingly, the Agency seismological network registered, on the same day at 1:02am, a 2.8-magnitude earthquake, 10km east of Stepanavan town.
The hypocenter of this tremor was 10km beneath the surface.
It measured a magnitude of 3 to 4 at the epicenter.
The seismic activity was felt in Stepanavan, with a magnitude of 3 to 4; in Agarak town, with a magnitude of 3 to 4; in Vanadzor tow, with a magnitude of 2 to 3; and in Tashir town, with a magnitude of 2 to 3.
