YEREVAN. – All flights between Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan and Rostov-on-Don, Russia, have been canceled as of Saturday, 11:30am Armenia standard time.

The website of Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan has informed the aforesaid.

The reason for the cancelation of these flights is the disaster that occurred nearby the Rostov-on-Don airport.

In addition, the flights between Yerevan and Sochi, Russia, have been canceled due to bad weather conditions.

A FlyDubai airline Boeing 737-800 passenger plane crashed near the airport of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, on Saturday at 3։50am local time.

The aircraft fell and burst into flames during landing. As a result, all 55 passengers and 6 crewmembers were killed.

The plane crashed 50 to 100 meters from the runway, and therefore it was split into several parts.
