The Turkish police have warned the country’s Christian population that there is a terror threat in the churches and sacred sites on the Easter Day.

The General Vicar of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan noted that the police hadn't informed them anything, the Istanbul-based Armenian “Agos” newspaper reports.

According to Ateshyan, on reading about this in press, he immediately connected with the province administration, who told him that additional police forces will ensure the security of the Armenian churches on the Easter Day.
