YEREVAN. - It’s very pleasant that the British films are so popular with the Armenian youth, Deputy Head of the UK Embassy in Armenia, Amias Moores, told the journalists today at the closing ceremony of the British Film Festival.

According to him, they are very happy for such an interest among their Armenian friends.    The seven films screened are among the best samples of the British cinematographic art, Mr Moores added. In his words, they touched on such values as human rights, justice and diversity. The Deputy Head of Mission also noted that they are happy to co-finance this initiative. Moreover, he thanked the British Council and Beeline for helping to make the festival possible.

The festival was held in February-March in capital city Yerevan, as well as Aparan, Dilijan and Alaverdi towns. Overall over 25,000 people attended the screening. The program included seven films.

The British Film Festival, which the 14th one on end, was organized by the British Council in cooperation with the UK Embassy in Armenia and Beeline company.
