Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held talks with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts.

 The Minister urged the parties to influence the situation to stop violence in Karabakh, RIA Novosti reported.

Lavrov talked to Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts amid reaction of the Russian leader to resumption of clashes and "the steps undertaken by the Russian side to normalize the situation, including, contacts with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group".

Earlier Russian defense minister Sergey Shoygu talked on the phone with counterparts from Armenia and Azerbaijan.
