YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia refuted the Azerbaijani statements that, allegedly, the Armenian armed forces are firing at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, in the direction of Nakhichevan.

“The information about shootings and other consequences in the Nakhichevan sector [of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border] is completely bogus,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, wrote on his Facebook account. “At the moment, it is calm in the Nakhichevan sector.”
