At Monday’s meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Political Bureau, it was decided not to put any matter related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the agenda of the PACE, the Armenian delegation to PACE informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Three matters referring to Nagorno-Karabakh were on the agenda of the PACE Political Bureau.

On April 7, René Rouquet, Chairperson of the French Delegation, in the name of his delegation, requested that the Assembly hold a current affairs debate on “The recent and tragic escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”

On April 12, Samad Seyidov, Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Delegation, in the name of his delegation, requested that the Assembly hold a current affairs debate on “The tragic escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan.”

And on April 13, Hermine Naghdalyan, Chairperson of the Armenian Delegation, in the name of her delegation, requested that the Assembly hold a current affairs debate on “War crimes committed by Azerbaijan during the recent aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh.”

As per Naira Zohrabyan, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE, these three matters were to be discussed with the current format, and this means no resolution was expected to be adopted.
