First Mayor of Armenia’s Vanadzor city, Andranik Harutyunyan, was seriously wounded in one of the frontline positions of Yeghnikner military unit in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent from Vanadzor reports that Harutyunyan, 61, had left for Artsakh with the volunteers’ detachment.
Currently he is in Stepanakert’s military hospital. Harutyunyan has undergone an operation; he is in stable condition.
Andranik Harutyunyan got wounded when trying to help his friend and fellow serviceman, who was himself wounded as a result of a mine explosion in the battlefield.
