YEREVAN. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call on Tuesday at 12:12am.

Accordingly, a traffic accident had occurred in capital city Yerevan, there were affected, and rescuers were needed.

Fire and rescue squads were dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a Volkswagen Bora—with driver R. Kh., 33—and a Mercedes-Benz G500 had crashed. As a result, the Mercedes-Benz had gone off road and hit a tree. 

Prior to the rescue workers’ arrival at the scene, passengers H. Kh., 28, M. B., 28, and A. B., 29, were brought out of the vehicle and hospitalized by local efforts. 

The rescuers brought the Mercedes-Benz’s driver out of the automobile, and this person was rushed to hospital where, however, died at 1:10am.

The rescuers also brought a passenger out of the vehicle, but this person died en route to hospital.

Doctors say H. Kh. and M. B. are in critical condition, whereas A. B. is in satisfactory condition.
