The tourist flow from Russia to Armenia is growing, First Deputy Minister of Russian Economic Development, Alexey Likhachev, told Armenian journalists in Moscow Saturday.

According to him, the Russian tourists are attracted to the history and fantastic landscapes of Armenia, as well as the country’s splendor. However, in the Deputy Minister’s words, the country’s infrastructures aren’t always in line with the required indexes.

“The infrastructures in Yerevan and nearby regions are in line with the norms, but the roads and the hotel level generally leave a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, the correspondence between the quality and price is very beneficial for the Russian tourists. The friendly and brotherly treatment to the Russian tourists is also pleasant,” Likhachev said, noting that despite all this Armenians are already forgetting Russian.
