The Cobalt 2016 joint exercises of the divisions—within the Collective Security Treaty Organization Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CSTO CRRF)—of the internal affairs agencies of the CSTO member countries will be conducted in Armenia, from Tuesday to Thursday. 

The drills will be held at Baghramyan Training Center of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, and CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha will follow these exercises.

The main objectives of these drills are to develop and improve skills in searching for and subduing terrorists, and to organize mutual assistance.

Internal troops’ divisions from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan will participate in these exercises, according to the CSTO official website.
