YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, while on a working visit to Paris, on Thursday met with Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, James Warlick, and Pierre Andrieu as well as Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (CiO).

The details of the Co-Chairs’ proposals on the creation of a mechanism for investigation of the ceasefire violations, and the enhancement of the capacities of the team of the Personal Representative of the OSCE CiO were discussed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that FM Nalbandian and the Co-Chairs stressed the importance of implementation of the agreements—which were reached at the summit in Vienna on May 16—on the commitment to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict, the strict adherence to the ceasefire agreements of 1994 and 1995, the steps aimed at more effective monitoring along the conflict zone, and the establishment of a mechanism for investigation, which will create necessary conditions for the resumption of the negotiation process.
