The Karabakh issue cannot be solved by peaceful means, without war, Russian political analyst Alexander Khramshikhin told Armenian News – NEWS.am Saturday.
In his words, the conflict can be resolved only by the resumption of large-scale military actions. “Either Azerbaijan achieves its goal occupying the territory round Karabakh or it it is defeated so seriously that it loses the capacity to fight for Karabakh at least for a very long time and even maximally surrenders, agreeing to its independence,” Khramchikhin noted.
Touching on the sides’ current military capacities, the analyst said: “Azerbaijan definitely has significant advantage in forces, and it is gradually rising. On the other hand, the April events proved that they are not able to produce a decisive victory.”
